‘And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers’
Malachi 4:6

The Journey

Loxley and Paulette English have been visiting Kenya to minister since 2012. Loxley had met their now friend Reverend Simon Machariah, who heads up a multi-denominational Pastors Fellowship in Othaya, Neyri County, Kenya, through the internet many years before and built up a relationship. The Fellowship conducts ministry activities including prayer meetings, seminars and conferences as well as sustainable ministry programs for the community and region. Loxley and Paulette were invited to be guest speakers at the 2012 major conference, and the relationship has since flourished between them with at least three more ministry visits conducted.

In December 2018 the English’s revisited Othaya to:

  • See where the Fellowship was at in its development and its structure
  • Establish what plans were in place for its further development and growth
  • Observe first-hand how the members were conducting themselves and interacting.

They found that not only were there clear leadership structures and meetings in place, but ministry teams had been formed to accommodate growth. The Fellowship had also divided its region of operation into four distinct sectors for greater effectiveness. On this visit, Loxley and Paulette were permitted to give further advice and to speak into the ministry as led by the Holy Spirit. Formal assessment of the impact of the work on neighbouring counties as well as national accreditation, was planned and will now be implemented in readiness of the greater expansion.

Future mission trips are also proposed with even more UK ministers travelling to Kenya to enhance the good work now being done. Ways to strengthen relationships are also being explored, e.g. partnerships and joint ministry events, to move the work of further spreading the gospel forward in this region of the world.
